“Wine's time with humankind goes back more than 6,000 years, reports an archaeology team from Armenia.” No wonder Prohibition was so unsuccessful in the US, assuming the elimination of drinking alcohol was its goal. It was successful, like today’s version of prohibition, in creating cash liquidity in the black market and pumping money into court systems, prisons, and the parasitic industries that feed on them. So, maybe it was a success after all.
