Ode to Garrison Keillor

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Evil be damned, wars unjust
Eight years we’ve had, o what a bust
Economy dead, lying afoul
Victim of a man with head in bowel
But o the praises do we sing
For he who would be our righteous king
Holiness on high, saintly thus
Saint Obama, pray for us
On a pedestal we prop you
Our media can never drop you
Build up the expectations
And Keillor’s bilious expectorations
Our savior has come, the party has won
“Four years of perfection,” you’ll all have claimed
Not a mark on his record, not a soul who’s been maimed
On Barack’s watch, may he be ordained!
A Luddite fantasy world, a world free of “them”
No fouling of air (except Keillor’s phlegm)
How righteous of us, how morally prudent
We’re never wrong, Democrats strident
On Barack’s watch, may he be ordained!

The young insist, in their own way, that evil keep its distance:

Make your message clear, concise and easy to understand:

Only the state can get away with treating people like fenced cattle:

The O-bomb-anator looks for more targets:

Be a good slave and follow the leader- all the way to oblivion:

Who needs LSD to tune out and turn on?

Has the Prince of Darkness decided to make an appearance, or did Mc-Bama catch some bad lighting?

What goes better with peaceful sports competition that surface-to-air missiles?

If the slaves won’t accept your lies- gas the bastards:

A Roll Call of state slaughter….

….and the grisly, confirming evidence:

Is this what’s meant by “smaller government?”

Where would we be without the state on the lookout for terrorist jellyfish?

Not only do politi-gangsters see walls as solutions to numerous problems, they also seem to revere them:

What Neocon or state apologist could not be moved by this sight- the red, white, and blue; the stars, stripes, and barb wire?

Don’t say you weren’t warned. Asking honest, logical questions, directed at the state, can get you a kick in the teeth:

Taking the John-John bad boys behind the woodshed? We can only dream:

Big Brother’s snooping grows ever more obtrusive:

The TSA: Keeping America Safe From Nipple Rings, Old Men In Wheelchairs and Other Grave Threats To National Security

Friday, July 25th, 2008

This latest news on the Transportation Security Administration’s valiant efforts to keep us all safe and protected from the Islamo-Fascist Terror Menace comes to us by way of Manuel Lora at Lew Rockwell’s blog:

For arguing with a TSA agent, Robin Kassner wound up being slammed to the floor. She’s filed a lawsuit.

“I kept begging them over and over again get off of me…and they wouldn’t stop,” Kassner said.

And it wasn’t enough for another woman to show TSA agents nipple rings that set off a metal detector. The agents forced her to take them out.

Mandi Hamlin said, “I had to get pliers and pull it apart.”

In Chicago, people like Robert Perry are subjected to exhaustive security checks. He was patted down, his wheel chair was examined and his hands were swabbed, all in public view in a see-through room at the security checkpoint. Perry, 71, is not alone.

“It’s humiliation,” Perry said.

Perry was also taken to a see-through room by a TSA agent when his artificial knee set off the metal detector.

“He yelled at me to get the belt off. ‘I told you to get the belt off.’ So I took the belt off. He ran his hands down over and pulled the pants down, they went down around my ankle,” Perry said.

At that point, Perry was standing in his underwear in public view. He asked to see a supervisor. That made things worse.

“She was yelling ‘I have power, I have power, I have power,” Perry said. The power to stop him from flying to Florida with his wife that day to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

“It makes you feel like you have no rights,” Perry said.

In case you haven’t already, be sure to check out Root Striker Roger Young’s new article for LewRockwell.com, “Proud To Be a Vietnam Vet?”

Roger asks some pretty difficult questions that may cause the heads of many in our statist culture to explode from the sheer internal pressure built up by cognitive dissonance.

If the state cannot get its way through deception it always resorts to force:

The state’s methods of invasion and plunder grow more bolder and annoying by the day:

Greenie Goons and Military Mobsters Join Forces

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

The enviro-wackos are aligning with the US military.  A group has risen from the statist slime calling itself “Green Collar Vets“, a nonprofit organization who’s mission is “to coordinate skill development, education and employment opportunities in emerging Green Industries for U.S. military veterans.  ”I’ve offered some suggestions for productive “green” jobs for ex-soldier boys and girls:

  • Help dig proper graves for all the tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis and Afghans they’ve murdered.
  • Clear invaded countries of depleted uranium and cluster bombs that will kill even more innocents in the future.
  • Close down all military bases in occupied countries and perform all necessary environmental cleanup. Only God knows what filth and pollution they have produced.

It’s the perfect union, the environmentalists and the military. One group hates the idea of humanity even populating the earth while the other is highly skilled and experienced in actively eradicating such life.

Green used to be a pleasant color, arousing sensations of pleasant summers and the smell of freshly cut grass.  Now the hue brings to mind images of pagan-generated genocide and neo-Luddite tyranny.

Say’s Law in Detroit

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

This news link of the 20th century history of Detroit, MI is fascinating in what it teaches about a core principle of human prosperity.

 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/portal/main.jhtml?xml=/portal/2008/07/05/sm_america05.xml

At the turn of the century, Detroit became great because of its great private car industry created by entrepreneur Henry Ford. It attracted and provided a better life for millions of Americans, including a wave of blacks migrating from the South.

Today, Detroit has declining population, property values, etc. The desires of the people there have not changed: nice homes, good food, safe environs, safe medicines, fun leisure activities, etc. What has changed is that the city and its citizens are no longer producing in quantity products the rest of the world wants.  Implied in the road back to recovery for Detroit (a lesson that can be absorbed by any community of individuals) is that it must again discover a product that the rest of the world wants and begin producing it again. It’s an excellent example of Say’s (Economic) Law – supply precedes demand.

Detroit has two paths of survival: service or plunder. Service worked once before – creating cars that the rest of the world wanted. If its community of individuals work toward that end again – the state and local bureaucrats, the entrepreneurs, the workers, the investors, etc., there’s a prospect for recovery. Or they can try to plunder the life’s work of other individuals with political machinations. This seems to be the current stratagem of the city leaders as they increase taxes and regulations there. I think this path is very temporary at best, as there are many more political entities competing at the welfare trough, and with declining population and economic strength, just how much political clout Michigan has to get a good bite of the shrinking welfare apple is debatable.

Governor Perry Takes More Bribes

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008
From the Houston Chronicle:
Gov. Rick Perry’s request for a waiver of federal corn-based ethanol production mandates was prompted by a March meeting he had with East Texas poultry producer Lonnie “Bo” Pilgrim, who six days later gave $100,000 to the Republican Governors Association chaired by Perry.
Perry already has already shown his corruptibility in the not too distant past when he signed a controversial executive order requiring girls aged about 11 or 12 to be vaccinated with Gardasil, a vaccine against the sexually transmitted human papillomavirus (HPV). The order closely followed Perry receiving a political donation from Merck, the vaccine’s manufacturer.
