Church Christians Still Don’t Get It

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

4000 delegates of the Disciples of Christ General Assembly have approved a resolution “opposing the war in Iraq as contrary to Jesus’ teachings.” Sounds promising enough. But it seems some have expressed concern of what this message would “send to the troops.”

One opposing delegate was disappointed that the resolution did not also “morally support” the troops executing the war. Huh? How do you oppose an action on moral grounds yet claim “support” for those who carry out the orders for mass murder and mayhem- the very action you oppose? How are these instigators above judgment?

The resolution does make one brave claim- it supports military personnel who refuse deployment to Iraq because of their Christian convictions and who understand that they may be disciplined as a result. One opponent, with his statement, sums up the mentality of state-worshipping pseudo-Christians:

“Deserters are considered dishonorable discharges, which results in loss of certain rights like voting rights. This is a very stringent punishment for a young person who may not be mature enough or emotionally stable enough” to understand the consequences of their actions.

In other words, taking a moral stand consistent with Christian ethic may result in a loss of state privileges. After all, a life isn’t worth living without those precious gifts.

In other words, taking a moral stand consistent with Christian ethic is a dangerous step only to be taken by an emotionally mature, stable person- defined as one who respects and bows to state authority.

In other words, you should only take a moral stand based on Christian ethic if such action will result in no risky, uncomfortable, or life-changing consequences.

It seems no group needs more of God’s help than God’s people.

More Hokum From The Holy Father

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

Pope Benedict XVI has asserted that the Roman Catholic Church is the only true church of Christ.

This report clearly shows how church institutions are nothing but mirror images of the state. The state insists on legitimacy by running a protection racket. Church institutions sell their con by claiming to be exclusive gatekeepers to personal salvation. No institution is more arrogant with this claim than the motley, child abusing collection of perverts (sounds like Congress) that run the Catholic “Church.”

Pope Benny can babble on all he wants about the “doctrine of primacy,” “apostolic succession,” and “internal constitutive principle” but I ain’t buyin’. His Highness also seems upset that other church institutions don’t recognize “the primacy of the pope.” So, Benny, who died and made you King? It certainly wasn’t Christ. I can’t seem to find anywhere in the New Testament where Jesus Christ insists on a pope, or any other arrogant son of a bitch, to “run” his church.  Perhaps Pope Benny should spend more time seeing that his thugs (priests) keep their hands out of little boy’s pants rather than telling the flock to whom they must bow. Piss on the Pope.

Queen Hillary promises new jobs for the future. How about a position for a sign maker who can spell?

Christians need to start thinking outside the box:

The Emperor checks the pulse of Africa. Are more bombs on the way?

It’s Called, ‘Voting With Your Feet’

Monday, March 26th, 2007

Congratulations to the brave Mennonites in Missouri who would rather move than betray their religious beliefs. The state of Missouri now requires a photo on all driver’s licenses, no exceptions. This requirement does not sit well with the Mennonite community, some who are selling their properties and businesses and moving to Arkansas which offers a religious exemption.

These are peaceful, skilled individuals that are being pushed away from their homes by useless, bureaucratic nonsense that offers no useful purpose, outside of maintaining control over the lives of the collective. If only more of us had the guts to take such principled action. .

Resistance is futile:

There is no higher calling than killing for Jesus. “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death (MAT 10:21):”

“If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies (Rev 11:5):”

“I kill for the state and they give me this shiny trinket:”
