Md. mayor’s home raided, dogs killed - Crime & courts- msnbc.com The Drug War, militarized police, and no-knock entry raids by steroid addicts high on power seeking violent confrontation have become too commonplace in our once peaceful society. Now the unapologetic creatures from the black lagoon have snared one of their own in this statist exercise in spreading chaos. The fine line here between tragedy and comedy is difficult to see but the irony is clear.

This is, literally, just a few miles from where I live and work. And this is the same jurisdiction that killed the murder suspect in his cell a short while ago. The stories are sensational enough that one can hope for push-back from the public.

Everytime I hear someone say “I don’t have to worry about a drug raid.” or “Only the guilty should be afraid of the police.” I can only roll my eyes and pity the fool. I too hope this will result in some push-back; or at least undermine its support.
