Gun Controlled to Death
Football player Sean Taylor was admired locally a great deal as he was arguably the best football player to play for the Washington Redskins football team in the last decade. A point of his murder naturally missed by the Washington Post and the local radio sportstalk is that he had little chance of defending himself, facing gun wielding killers with a machete as he was trying to obey the authorities order that he not possess a firearm after a criminal conviction. Naturally, the chronically obtuse like sports columnist John Feinstein and local talk host Al Koken were arguing for even more law abiding people to have their firearms taken away in the name of “doing something.”
My condolences to his family. In a state more just than Florida, his daughter might still have a living father.
