Cindy Sheehan, clearly disgusted by the ignorance and apathy that increasingly characterizes the American people’s attitudes toward the mass sacrifice of their sons and daughters in pursuit of their government’s wholesale slaughter of foreigners, has resigned as the “public face” of the peace movement.

Kristinn Taylor of the neoconservative war-mongering web site Free Republic.com chipped in her two cents with this insightful comment to the Associated Press on one of the few people in this country to actually stand up and say she gives a damn:

“Her politics have hurt a lot of people, including the troops and their families, but most of us who support the war on terror understand she is hurt very deeply,” Taylor said Tuesday. “Those she got involved with in the anti-war movement realize it was to their benefit to keep her in that stage of anger.” [Emphasis mine.]

Ms. Taylor’s analysis of Cindy Sheehan’s feelings is incredibly astute. She’s so right: It’s not the fact that Sheehan’s son was killed in a war launched on the basis of a complete pack of lies that made her so angry, it was all those peaceniks she hung out with, stirring up her emotions for their own selfish ends.

It wouldn’t be as though, say, she might one day come across an old school photo of her dead son, or some other such once-forgotten memento of her only boy. Nor is it likely that catching Bush on TV making tasteless jokes about American soldiers not finding Saddam’s alleged WMD would upset her much. Oh no, those kinds of things wouldn’t anger a mother grieving for her dead soldier son. It was all those negative anti-war people, telling her what to think and feel about her son’s death. And to think the poor woman just went along with them.

I really hope Ms. Taylor gets a TV gig as the next big psycho-guru. Move over, Dr. Phil! I look forward to it. Maybe Ms. Taylor can convince the Baghdad Burning blogger that the real source of her anger is not the U.S. invasion per se, which has resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths and the destruction of thousands of homes and the flight of 2 million Iraqis from their country, but rather it’s the anti-war movement repeatedly reminding everyone about it, thus keeping her in that “stage of anger.”

UPDATE: Be sure to check out Francois Tremblay’s “Open Letter to Cindy Sheehan.” In her resignation article, Sheehan expressed great dismay with the entire political system, left and right, Republican and Democrat, which Tremblay addresses.

Ms. Taylor refers to someone being “hurt”. Apparently, she is referring to Amerikan terrorists and bootlicking families who have had their feelings hurt by the truth- their worshipped state deity isn’t all what they’ve been programmed to believe.
Never mind the thousands who have been PHYSICALLY hurt by their satanic masters (the “hurt” that Sheehan was trying to end). To the rabble that Ms. Taylor represents, they are irrelevant. What is important is not to hurt the feelings of wimpy, little soldier boys.

I think people are beginning to care less and less about the fate of Amerikan soldier boys after seeing just how repulsive a lot they are. Darwinists might even consider their deaths an effective way to “thin out the herd” of undesirables. Personally, I don’t support this view and wish harm to no one. But I’ll be damned if I’ll waste any of my grief on them or worry about their precious feelings.

I could see Sheehan being manipulated by the Left from day one. The Left can be very articulate in explaining their dissent to the War on Life. However, they strived to use Sheehan to promote their war of choice- the War on Property.
