Workers May Gain Paid Sick Leave

“AB 1522, passed by the state Legislature over the weekend, requires employers to provide both full-time and part-time employees with one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked.” And why not? It's not as if employers judge the total cost of an employee against his or her productivity.
