A. BARTON HINKLE presents a very thoughtful article; his format of asking questions, (23 of them, if we include the title), rather than just making statements, is a powerful sales tool.
I love the fact, (as everyone here can well imagine), that he apparently agrees with the C.S. Lewis' notion that "this Law or Rule about Right and Wrong used to be called the Law of Nature", since he included it in his article.
I also like that he recognizes the fact that "dues" and [income] "taxes" are synonymous by using them interchangeably.
And, what a great ending!!
"It would be nice if those who are so eager to order everyone else about would take the trouble to explain what, exactly, gives them the right [just claim] to do so.
My thoughts do not aim for your assent -- just place them alongside your own reflections for a while."
