What It Costs You to Smoke in America
A table of state-by-state comparisons. Some quick research on Bing! says that a domestic tobacco cigarette costs around $0.03 apiece to produce (1 pack = ~$1.00 USD). All the rest of the sales price is tax. As much as the statist clerisy say they hate tobacco use, they’d hate to lose the blood money they get from it even more.
