It is nearly impossible, for me, to imagine a more ridiculous statement!

But, then, it is about what I'd expect from someone who reportedly wrote to Cyril Connolly from Barcelona on 8 June 1937 stating: "I have seen wonderful things and at last really believe in Socialism, which I never did before".
