Travis Irvine is a stand-up comedian, independent filmmaker and unsuccessful politician. His campaign and comedy videos have been featured on The Jay Leno Show, PBS’s NewsHour, The Huffington Post and Funny Or Die. A recent graduate of the Columbia University School of Journalism, he currently lives and performs in New York City.

 

Bio:

Travis Irvine is a stand-up comedian, independent filmmaker and unsuccessful politician. He has performed stand-up comedy across the country and in Toronto and London, alongside comics like Judah Friedlander, Marc Maron, Patton Oswalt, Dimitri Martin, Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress, Kyle Kinane, and many more. He was also once groped by Andy Dick. Travis has written and directed a feature length horror/satire about killer raccoons called Coons! Night of the Bandits of the Night, which was released on DVD in 2008 by cult film distributor Troma Entertainment – the same company that released Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s (South Park) first film. In 2007, Travis ran for mayor of his hometown in Ohio and turned the experience into a short documentary, American Mayor, which was featured at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010 and is available online and on DVD from Indie Media Entertainment. Travis also ran for U.S. Congress in Ohio in 2010, and his campaign and comedy videos have been featured on The Jay Leno Show, PBS’s NewsHour, The Huffington Post and Funny Or Die. At 29 years old, Travis is a recent graduate of the Columbia University School of Journalism, and he has lived and performed between New York City and Ohio since 2008.
