"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." ~ H.L. Mencken
TSA Could Ban Flights From Texas If State Passes Anti-Patdown Law
Submitted by Michael Kleen on Fri, 2011-05-27 01:00
A showdown is in the works over an anti-patdown law, which the Texas House of Representatives recently approved by a unanimous vote. Texas legislators say the rule is needed because existing laws "let government employees fondle innocent women, children and men."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't yesterday's article from the Tenth Amendment Center say that Texas lawmakers had backed down? Cheer or boo? I need to know.
That's a good question. The article I posted is dated the 25th - the 10th Amendment Center article was dated the 24th. I haven't heard any details since then.
Well, one thing's for sure -- it won't be in my local newspaper. Seriously, though, how long could (or would) the arilines hold out with flights into and out of certain states banned?
