Syrian Official: US 'Supporting Terrorism' With Rebel Training Programme

"Syria's deputy foreign minister on Saturday criticised a new US programme to train 'moderate rebel fighters' in Jordan, saying it will only fuel terrorism and further complicate efforts to reach a political solution to the country's [CIA-fomented] long and brutal civil war. The remarks by Faisal Mekdad were published in his weekly column for the Lebanon-based Al-Binaa newspaper."
