Polygraphs are about as scientific as the "Long Island Medium." Seriously, this "technology" was developed in the 20's-almost a century ago, and before the brain was even remotely understood-and is still basically the same...all it measures is stress reactions-barely-it doesn't detect "lies." What it does do is scare the living shit out of people who should be paying attention to the trained interrogator who is asking them questions.
Once again, I find that I'm simply not cynical enough...prosecuting people for shining the light on superstitious flim-flam is beyond even what I expected of that depraved coven called government.
