"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." ~ H.L. Mencken
Push for Charges in NYC Police Chokehold Death
What I want to know is why there is a push for charges. To me, the push is the problem, or rather the need for it is. The chokehold is supposedly prohibited by police department procedures. There should be no need to push for charges. Charges should be automatic, as swift – if not swifter – for police officers as charges would be for you or I. The choking pig should be charged, as should every pig that didn't rein that pig in, physically if need be, coming to the defense of the citizen being illegally assaulted by that pig. Every pig on the scene that did not arrest that pig should be charged. The people should settle for nothing less.
