"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." ~ H.L. Mencken
Philippines' Gov Contemplates Break From Dependence on US Military Aid
The implosion of the U.S. government's reputation continues around the world.
The signs are all around us that the U.S. is quickly becoming third world. Foreign governments are tired of U.S./Nato military aggression, dollar hegemony, and general exasperation with the concept of "American exceptionalism".
It would have done the U.S. well to actually join the "global community" decades ago and set aside the arrogance of that concept, with sound money and a foreign policy of trade and peace.
Instead, this "joining" will be forced on U.S. citizens through a dramatic lowering of living standards in the years and decades to come.
