"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." ~ H.L. Mencken
Shield and Strength: The Power of Love, Part 2
Submitted by William Muller on Mon, 2008-09-22 16:00
"The results of coercive State power are staggering; they range from war and death camps to simple poverty and to emotional damage among infants and children who are orphaned or whose families are harmed in other ways, directly or indirectly, by State action. In a vicious cycle, emotional damage among the State's victims becomes a corner stone element in the foundation of State power , as a neurotic and mal-educated public clamors for more State 'help' while sociopaths and psychopaths strive, in various ways, to capture State power for their own use." Column by Glen Allport.
