"?Some state lawmakers are launching an investigation into the foster care system. They say too many kids are dying while in state custody.? And, there are too many deaths because there are too many kids. With the per child state and fed money paying salaries, benefits, and pensions, there is a greed for taking children, facilitated by a poorly educated and culturally ignorant workforce, which ends up in an overcrowded and unmanageable system. So busy is the State ripping and shredding families that should be left alone, that they are stretched far too thin to actually do what they were intended to do, which is to prevent things like this."
