"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." ~ H.L. Mencken

I've heard it so many times, " I know what's happening in Afganistan is terrible and it's been 10 years, but we can't just leave! ". Yes, we can. Not even getting into the arguement that we never should have been there to begin with, leaving now would improve the lives of the people who live within those arbitrary borders and will prevent more " terrorists" from being developed. Oh yeah, and stop saying "we" ! I had nothing to do with it.
