Michigan Repeals Bond Requirement for Civil Forfeiture Cases

Good news. Before the change, if the police seized your car and you want to contest it in court, you had to post cash or a bond for the car's full assesed value. So you needed to come up with a few grand or more before you could even start your case, which was a big hurdle for most people.
