Martin Luther King, Jr. Applied for Concealed Carry Permit in 1956, was Refused

Alabama was a "may issue" state then, and the powers-that-be denied him, despite all the danger he was in. The state won't protect you, and they won't let you try and protect yourself either. What good are they?
