Dozens Play Chess in Public to Defy SF Crackdown

When we lived in the state capital, I used to take the girls to watch the street chess games. It was a sight to see... a man in an expensive business suit sitting across from a homeless dude, getting a quick speed chess game in on his lunch break... watching the... the... well, if it was happening around a pool table, I'd use the phrase pool sharks, not sure of the right word for around a chess board... chess sharks, chess hustlers... anyway, watching players make some cash. It was a lot of fun.
