Oh, it certainly has failed, consistently, to reach its STATED objectives, which are to reduce drug use. But the reality is that the stated objectives, like everything else about this dirty, ugly war, are a lie. Prohibition is, and always has been, a tool of oppression. And you don't wage war on people to help them, or protect them, or save them. You wage war on people to take what they have or destroy it. Well, it's working. Thousands of Americans die every year in drugwar violence. Countless families have suffered the reckless destruction of drug raids. Millions of harmless people have been imprisoned, and each one of those is a life damaged or destroyed, not by drugs, but by drug laws. Let's face it, no government campaign would continue at such a hideous price if it was a "failure." The so-called "war on drugs" continues because those who make the decisions are the ones who benefit from it. And in their eyes, their dirty, ugly war is an unqualified success.

If there is a specific thing I can do to help extract the Stagliano's of the world from Leviathan's clutches I will do so, even if it includes assisting to physically break him out of one of the statist prisons. I have no confidence, however, that state employees have any desire or ability to grant "rights". They take away "rights". I avoid voting or communicating with legislators or judges or other state parasites with hope I can "accomplish" any good for their victims. Demonstrations, letter writing campaigns and "marches" are fruitless and only play into the hands of state worshipers. I'd better spend my efforts working with foxes to eat herbs and leave chickens be.

Green Sr. got it right in his Literal Translation of the Holy Bible when he translated the Aramaic word ratsach, "murder". All murder is killing, but all killing is not murder. Since I am an individual secessionist the UNITED NATIONS is not my "proper authority", however, it presumably is the "proper authority" for the voluntary members of it, which, in my opinion, is another great reason to be an individual secessionist. Next, "Reasonable Hope for Success" has nothing whatsoever to do with determining whether a war is "just", i.e. "upright; honest; having principles of rectitude". Lastly, I'm surprised that Jim made not so much as a casual mention of the controversy over whether Iraq even had anything to do with the attacks on the Twin Towers and/or the Pentagon. And, maybe someone here can help me, I forget when did Afghanistan attack America or Great Britain?

Not all Mexicans are classified similarly, (Latinos, Chicanos, Coconuts)and, are these nationalities considered when crime documentation only allots for a small accruement of minorities (White, Black, Mexican, Hispanic, Other). What is the probability of these individuals actually providing the correct nationality of their heritage? After 28 years of not voting I registered Republican so I could vote for Ron Paul in the Primary. I donated $300. I was a fool. I knew better, but I wasted my time & money. I am not influential with many but I do advocate secession. I moved to WY to be freer. If our society survives the coming economic collapse I will stay in the U.S. If the giant wins I will leave.

We have to form a community and teach by example." Yes, I believe this too. The first and most important barrier for the anarchism meme to surpass is that it is possible at all. When it works and works well, it will get a lot of people questioning what government actually does for them. "Logically, if one professes to believe in individual liberty, then to be consistent one must be against State secession, because State secession is, after all, nothing more than another variation of the majority forcing its will upon the minority." No. You are making the assumption that the default case (no secession) is also not a choice. Those who wish to remain in the Union are imposing their choice on those who don't. The latter obviously want more freedom than the former, since the federal government is so harmful to freedom, not to mention to life itself (witness the wars in the Middle East). Butte, Montana is an interesting case. There is no city government layer; Silver Bow County performs that function, more or less. To me, the fewer layers, the better. One can argue whether the optimal layer is the city or county layer. However, there are over 3000 counties in the U.S.; out of that large number there should be a reasonable selection of anarchist ones. They may be easier to defend against any latent aggression by neighboring statists as well. Individual secession should be done in any case. But I think getting rid of the federal layer is a step in the right direction, just as imposition from the United Nations would be a step in the wrong direction. Local autonomy is the goal. That way there is a place both for statists and for anarchists. The only way to get to local autonomy is to get rid of the upper layers of government that aggregate everyone together.

I feel that this flagrant omission was no mere oversight and I also find my antenna going up because George did not write "they cannot, by any compact, deprive or divest themselves or their posterity".

For Mike the Canadian, I would suggest that you are doing fine as a Canadian, you obviously do not intend to illegally tap any "services" reserved for SS card carrying US Citizens, so I say live and let live! For Scarmig, I ask: How many of us are there who have done this in our families? Two? (You and me?) My son was native born right here in Texas in 1992, I never got him the number either, for "freedom" purposes, and wrote argumentative letters to IRS, with our pediatrician's notarized statement that our son was truly a male homo sapiens, entirely dependent upon his mother and me, and that we were claiming him as a dependent without obtaining for him any SS#. We actually did that for about 4 years, let them recompute our tax with penalty and interest, and then we would pay the penalty. I was truly stubborn. Since that time, we had not even bothered to claim him, we just paid the extra taxes without a "fight". Our accomplishments to date: -Enrollment in public school without an SS#. -Texas Driver's License without an SS# (the form was DL-13, I believe.) -Life Insurance Policy without an SS#. -Enrollment in out of state mechanic trade school without an SS#. But, by golly, now they may have him. He has been trying to figure a way to open a checking account with a SS#, and we are at a brick wall. He is 17, and to date, has never encountered any native born American citizen without an SS#. He thought he might be the only one, I told him there are probably a few hundred thousand around the country, but for religious reasons. His lack of number is due to "freedom loving" reasons. Anybody got any ideas for my son on how to get a bank checking account without an SS#?

We have to form a community and teach by example. No statist can say: "It can't be done." if we are doing it. A free community will continually have statists joining and trying to change us. This is the way of the world and what is meant by:"The price of liberty is eternal vigilance." The struggle is never over, but will be ongoing. Each new attempt will need to be answered by rational debate. Statists (usually) start with debate not guns. They try to sneak in their ideas when resistance is low. They may be well meaning attempts to solve a small problem using force. As long as we stick to our principles and carefully pass them on to our young we should be ready for the fight, even if it turns violent. However, I have yet to find that first voluntaryist community. I live in rural Wyoming. I am only freer because we are isolated, not by my neighbors intent. Where is that first group of 100+ voluntaryists willing to re-locate?

Paul 12 years 45 weeks agoWhat Is to Be Done With the Statists?Page Paul Bonneau"If there were anywhere better to go on this planet I would make it my life's goal to get there." Look at the free state movements. New Hampshire, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, while not perfect, are much better than average places, and would turn very free if just a quarter of the libertarians and anarchists in the country moved there. That in turn would attract the rest. If people are not serious enough to do something so insignificant as moving, they don't really want freedom. Moving some place is a lot easier than fighting a revolution. As to secession, it will happen. Every empire dies. Every place on the planet has had its borders re-written over and over again. The US is not immune to that. Arguing that secession cannot happen is like arguing back in 1988 that the Soviet Union will last forever. At some point the Union will break up, or at least the states will gain more autonomy than they do now, and when it does the great homogenizing influence of Washington DC will be gone. Some of those states will become more free - IF freedom lovers move to them. Even the less free states will be acceptable if they allow local autonomy. In the meantime everyone can personally secede, to the extent possible. There is a large range of possible behaviors (e.g. full time RV living, or living in places without zoning and land use regulations like rural Wyoming) where you can get at least part way there. The intent of this article was to get people thinking about how we could live alongside statists, and to get them to stop despairing that we can't convert them to freedom-lovers. We don't have to.

Government school is a permanent structure in society and for the vast majority, the only chance at an "education". While I know I will get the usual rhetoric of "indoctrination" and "obedience training", the fact is, the foundation for most of society is built within these walls. The weak attempt to hide bigotry, fear and xenophobia behind national solidarity is laughable if it wasn't happening. People aren't scared of skin tone, they are scared at what it represents... a different culture with a different language. These people are cowardly humans. I would even go so far as to say flat stupid. If you scared to teach history to anyone, it is because you have something to lose.

By "public schools" they mean government-run schools. If you do not want to be bound by this law do not send your children to government-run schools. They will get a better education if you don't send them there anyway.

Suverans2 12 years 46 weeks agoWhat Is to Be Done With the Statists?Page Paul BonneauIn the Constitution of your government* the Fourteenth Amendment states that all persons which are “subject to the jurisdiction of the United States are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside”. I believe that this is was not the case originally, but the States governments later became subjects of the Federal government. Anyone believing that the States are sovereign better go study the word sovereign and then take a long hard look at the so-called Supremacy Clause (Article VI.2) of their government's* Constitution. Footnote: * I say “your government” and “their government's” only because, as an Individual Secessionist I wish to make it manifest that it is no longer my government.

Thought you might like to know, though, that the 'priesthood' has perverted the Divine Right of Kings doctrine, like they have so many other things. The Divine Right of Kings pertains to all men, we are all born Sovereigns-Without-Subjects. Here is are three verses from the King James Bible that are prima facie evidence of this fact. 1Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood... Peter is not talking to some select little group of wannabe rulers, he is speaking to everyone who has "come out from among them", i.e. seceded from the governments of men, and returned to God's Kingdom, which is, in my opinion, the Natural Kingdom. Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and [even] his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Revelation 5:10 And hast made us, unto our God, kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Again, John the Revelator is not talking to some small elite, he is speaking to those who have "overcometh". Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. What "handwriting of ordinances that was against us"? When we "withdraw from membership" in the group, i.e. state citizenry, we are "civilly dead" and therefore no longer "subject to ordinances...after the commandments and doctrines of men", so don't "touch" them, "taste" them or "handle them", they are not for you and you will perish with the using. Colossians 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ [the anointed] from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

What is the purpose of these 'spectacles'. To get us ready for the next false flag to spark off another war--against Iran. There are no wars between nations. There are only 'government ops' that kill and destroy to inflame hatreds against their enemies. The wars are all for control. The government versus the people. Big Corporations versus the people. It is the elite versus everybody else, and the elite control the money and the media. Buchanan is blind to this. But it's understandable. He's a politician. He's right. The war is coming home. Well, according to its Cornerstone Document, the so-called Declaration of Independence, “to secure these [unalienable] rights” and “whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness”. There is one other lawful remedy, however, that is not mentioned in that declaration of secession, the natural right of the individual to secede, i.e. “withdraw from membership” in the political community. This should not be confused with expatriation, as it ofttimes is, which means to withdraw from the country of one's nativity.

Jim Davies 12 years 46 weeks agoWhat Is to Be Done With the Statists?Page Paul BonneauGranted, the Southern States were in no degree anarchist but they were the last, I think, to try to secede; were they entertaining a "paranoid fantasy" when anticipating that the Feds might try to prevent them? Has secession ever worked? Even at the individual level, try seceding from any level of government. If they see you (and yes, it may be possible to live under their radar) they will kill you rather than allow it. Again, their appetite for power is insatiable, and they have a lot more "battle rifles" than we do.
