John Lopez's Columns
Unclaimed Property and Non-Aggression
"Almost daily, the amount of unowned property, claimed only by an imaginary entity, increases around us. Why not make use of it?" Column by John Lopez.
"That is The Choice: liberty, or The State. The Choice: life, or death. The Choice: Our lives, to be lived as we wish; or Orwell's famous jackboot, crushing our faces forever." An excellent column by John Lopez.
Private Lives, Private Property, Private Courts
"Once we have decided to choose liberty, and to give up the State, some interesting questions arise. For example, what would a libertarian justice system look like? To establish libertarian justice, the Non-Aggression Principle must be followed. This means that force may not be initiated even against a convicted criminal--he must receive no punishment that he does not consent to." An OUTSTANDING column by John Lopez.
Government Courts: By What Principle?
"In summary, we have The Choice: Endorse the State, or work for liberty. We cannot give 'just a little' power to government courts, or soon thereafter the State will use them to own us. Liberty and the State are irreconcilable opposites--they are like oil and water, or food and poison. We cannot 'compromise' when our compromise is mixing half a glass of water with half a glass of poison, or a glass of water with 'just a little' poison. Justice is far too precious of an ideal to contaminate with even a drop of the State." Column by new Root Striker John Lopez.
