Extra! Extra! Al-Jazeera Banned From . . . Iran
Al-Jazeera must be doing something right. First they were bombed and then banned by the U.S. in Iraq. Now comes this news:
Iran today suspended operations of Arab TV broadcaster Al-Jazeera throughout the country, accusing it of inflaming violent protests by the Arab minority in south west.
Go, Al-Jazeera! Any news organization that has gotten itself banned by two governments--especially two antagonistic governments--must be doing its job well.

Al-Jazeera is about the only mass media in whole of the Middle East/Central Asia region that is not state controlled. Say what you want about ‘em they don’t appear to me to be any more or less biased or slanted than such giants as BBC, CNN, or Reuters and such.
They do piss off the PTB in the Middle East and that does indicate they are scoring accurate hits on the ruling classes there. Good for them.

If you haven't already, check out the documentary on al-Jazeera, "Control Room." Definitely makes a good case that al-Jazeera has a lot more brains and integrity than their insipid and whorish American counterparts.
