Saddam's Capture: The Made-for-TV Version

Reports UPI:

A former U.S. Marine who participated in capturing ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein said the public version of his capture was fabricated.

Ex-Sgt. Nadim Abou Rabeh, of Lebanese descent, was quoted in the Saudi daily al-Medina Wednesday as saying Saddam was actually captured Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, and not the day after, as announced by the U.S. Army. . . .

"Later on, a military production team fabricated the film of Saddam's capture in a hole, which was in fact a deserted well," Abou Rabeh said.

Is he telling the truth? It's quite possible, given what we know of the fabricated Jessica Lynch capture story and "rescue" video.

I had read an article on this on the Christian Science monitor a long time ago. It was reported on Kuwait TV that Saddam had been captured by the KLA the night before his "official capture", then all reports stopped and the new reports saying that the Americans captured him came about the next day. It might be worth looking up more info on it.

I saw the same story on al-Jazzera but I was not truly surprised that the MSM blew it off though. After all al-Jazzera is just Islamist propaganda right?

Wrong. They have as much credibility as CNN, BBC, or the rest as far I can see.
None so blind as those who will not see, eh?
