Roger Young's Columns

Hollow Outrage

"This nation’s 'most terrifying legacy' is not political assassination but the collective acceptance that marks on a ballot give legitimacy and justification to decades of war, economic impoverishment, false imprisonment, theft of property and even political assassination (as long as it's conducted against other countries, of course)."  Column by Roger Young.

A Myopic View of Hate

Roger Young on the group Americans Against Hate.

God and Faith Are Not Incompatible With Individual Liberty

"Religious doctrine, in and of itself, has no collective power over others. It has no armies or thugs with guns to enforce its edicts. An individual needs no state or private security apparatus to defend himself from such doctrine if it is intellectually or morally disagreeable, but merely the use of his God-given reason and self-education. The state, however, is a secular/godless construct only attractive to those with no moral conscience. It is an instrument of force, legitimized by fraudulent doctrine and promises, and used to control others by force rather than honest, forthright, peaceful persuasion."  Column by Roger Young.

Mel May Be a Little Off, But Not Far Off

"Gibson was also errant in neglecting to list the Zionist’s partners (intentional or otherwise) in the creation of war and destruction--American pseudo-Christians and Islamic Fascists.  All three parties need each other to create fear among their respective flocks--as does their partner, the state.  This fear is used to manipulate and control the lives of individuals."  Column by Roger Young.

A Letter to the Neighborhood Flag Freaks

Recommended  " This flag represents those who have unbending allegiance to the American state and defend its existence and actions no matter how absurd, no matter how criminal, no matter how obscene, no matter how unjust. This symbol is held dear by full time apologists who confuse defending their government with defending their home. This symbol is displayed by those who ignore their conscience to satisfy their bloody, nationalistic appetites."  Column by Roger Young.

It's Hopeless

"When that time comes, our state masters will be well prepared with a new bogeyman, a new enemy, to blame for our misfortunes-- a slick, well packaged presentation explaining how 'such-and-such' and 'this-and that' are responsible for our discomfort, disrupting the mission of a Godly nation, threatening our state-endowed 'freedom,' and challenging our manifest destiny. It will be time, once again, to 'stand united' against this common foe that threatens us all and 'support the troops' that lead the defense of all that is good. A freshly created batch of evil doers will come into firing range of the Amerikan public."  Column by Roger Young.

Christianity and Anarchism - A Match Made in Heaven

"Being accountable to Christ and being governed by church or state doctrine are two different things.  One is a spiritual responsibility as a child of God, the latter is obedience to the rules of men.  If I am guilty of the former, I hurt no one. If I settle for the latter, my potential for bloody mischief is unlimited."  Column by Roger Young.

Feels So Right

Recommended  "The sun has risen, as always.  The pre-election warning of 'Vote or Die' from the American ghetto is now even more laughable.  Some tyrants remain in place to extend their term of destructiveness.  Others are new to the scam, busy charting future paths of theft and death while their obedient serfs behold and regale their new saviors.  I pay no attention to, nor attempt to remember, their names.  Why bother?"  Column by Roger Young.

Support the Cause of Liberty--Not the Troops

Recommended  "The fact is that 'supporting the troops' only strengthens the resolve of the tyrants that control them. This support, wrapped in emotional fervor and embellished in a wave of patriotic color, confers legitimacy upon The State’s rule and policies--a legitimacy it must constantly work to protect. Believe me, when Bush II sees the prevalent displays of 'Support the Troops,' he is only emboldened to maintain and even expand his criminal policies."  Column by Roger Young.

Ronnie and Ray - A Comparison of Legacies

"Not being an acquaintance, I must view the man’s life as to how he affected me, through his actions. This influence occurred when he assumed power over my life when becoming chief and commander of the United States Government.  Viewing Reagan’s death in this context, I mourn his loss about the same as I would mourn the death of any other thief or murderer. How is Reagan any different?  His crimes are identical even when they are shrouded in pleasant, nationalistic rhetoric and an engaging smile.  The fact is, regardless of sentiments expressed to the contrary, Reagan was party to the theft and murder committed by the organization he chose to lead."  Column by Roger Young.

Remember

"Remember that each grave has a face, a story, a soul represented by that slab of coldly etched stone or weathered crossThen, remember the graves throughout the world without adornment of a marker- a name, an individual, sentenced to a burial of eternal anonymity.  Don’t the numbers now grow exponentially?  Some were enemies, some were allies.  Remember they also once walked the earth as those you honor. Remember they also aspired to a life of peaceful contentment, though driven by a different philosophy or creed as a means to obtain it."  Column by Roger Young.

Pat Tillman--Revisited and Laid to Rest

Recommended  "Wrong.  It does take guts to state the truth when the truth does not match the party line.  Any coward can parrot what his masters say is truth.  Any coward can give up their GOD-GIVEN freedom, put on a uniform, become nothing less than a slave, and follow orders, no matter how illegal or immoral.  Any coward can refuse to THINK. Any individual who does this thumbs his nose at his Creator, empties his heart, mind, and soul of all traces of humanity and becomes nothing less than an android, nothing less than a walking blasphemy."  Column by Roger Young.

How to Deal With Your Big, Fat, Obnoxious Government

MUST READ  "Petitioning The State only shows you are willing to play along with its scam--the scam that claims that elected and appointed elites will provide justice, maintain peace, and protect the life and property of its subjects.  The fact that one is requesting help in these areas broadcasts to The State that yes, indeed, the petitioner does indeed recognize the State’s legitimacy as protector and agent of change."  Column by Roger Young.

Tragedy or Triumph?

"You would think the sheer repetitiveness of these revelations would create a change in the consciousness of the public. But, apparently, a populace, whose behavior is well structured on a routine of 'bread and circuses,' is unable to connect the exposed facts of evil and corruption to being a threat to their freedom."  Column by Roger Young.

U.S. Peace Government: A Solution or an Oxymoron?

"The State is the dominant creator and purveyor of war and the idea of using it to bring peace is about as silly as asking a chronic kleptomaniac to end stealing."  Column by Roger Young.

Prayers and Protection

"I find it sickening that someone expects me to ask God to 'bless' those who commit murder; both for the depraved, arrogant fools who order the act from afar as well as the individuals who carry it out with neither discernment nor conscience.  I find it equally sickening to request 'blessing' toward those who kill in MY name and with MY dollar, never asking or receiving permission for either use."  Column by Roger Young.

Shed No Tears For Columbia Or The Military

"This is a voluntary force that willfully supports and carries out the orders of the ruling regime to spread its empire, misery and bankruptcy....These are supposedly intelligent people who make the fatal decision to 'serve.' Who are they serving as they blast away innocents on the other side of the world who never did me any harm? Are they serving their families who are tearfully torn from them as they obediently march off to glory? Are they serving the Constitution as their superiors make plans to fight still another undeclared, illegal war? Are they protecting my liberty while I daily lose more personal freedoms as more restrictive laws are declared and more agents of The State are unleashed in my community to regulate and monitor my every activity and lifestyle decision?"  A hard-hitting column by Roger Young.

Why Not Start at Zero--and Stay There?

"How about a permanent 'zero budget'? With no operating funds available the state would have to rely on voluntary donations to survive. To do this it would have to offer services that free individuals needed, wanted and are willing to pay for. In other words, the 'services' offered by the statists would come under the discipline of the free market rather than be coerced by the mob-force of democracy. Only those services truly desired by the public, not craved by lobbyists, would be supported and the rest would simply fade away into the ether like so much shuttle debris."  Column by Roger Young.

There's a Difference Between Sacrifice and Stupidity

"One party is serving others, showing them how to live productive, moral lives as individuals. The other serves an omnipresent State whose only interest is maintaining the collective."  Column by Roger Young.

Another Letter to the Friends of Sam Johnson

"You claim Mr. Johnson suffered in prison so 'I could retain the right and freedom to print such garbage as you have printed in your web site.' If that’s the case, his suffering was tragic and needless. I was alive and alert during that time, and don’t recall witnessing any Vietnamese person threatening my freedom to express myself. After all, I didn’t live in Vietnam. The only threat to my liberties I remember came directly from Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon and the U.S. government!"  Roger Young responds to a critic.

When Washington Disappears, Will You Be Ready?

Governments come and go, but the yearning for liberty is eternal.  Column by Roger Young.

For Tyranny, Dial 501(c)(3)

"The Houses of Worship Political Speech Protection Act, to be frank, is nothing but cowardly groveling before your earthly rulers to restore something that was God-given. Why ask permission for something that already belongs to you?"  Column by Roger Young.

God Doesn't Require a Petition

"...petitioning the President to 'lift the prohibition of prayer in schools' makes about as much sense as asking an electrician to fix your plumbing."  Column by Roger Young.

A Plea to Christians: Reject the State!

"Please realize, when you stand for The Pledge, the 'republic for which it stands' has been deceased for 140 years." Column by Roger Young.

Let's Salute the Real Freedom Fighters

"We have our own Axis of Evil made of Democrats, Republicans and their Bolshevik sympathizers...."  Column by Roger Young.
