"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." ~ H.L. Mencken
The Achievement of Peace Does Not Require Knowledge, Only Courage
"Because JFK turned to peace with our enemies, he was assassinated by the covert forces of his own national security state. Hope comes from our confronting the unspeakable."
“The story of JFK and the Unspeakable is drawn from the suffering and compassion of many witnesses who saw the truth and spoke it. In living out the truth, we are liberated from the Unspeakable.”
It is quotes like this that put into words how I have thought for many years, i.e. sometimes to come to the other end of the tunnel you have to look straight into darkness. However, it is the only way to come to light, if I may use that analogy.
And it is maddening to see people think there is not a price to be paid to discover truth, and come to peace. It requires not knowledge, not intellect, not book or street smarts – it just requires courage.
