In Search of a Scapegoat

It was just a matter of time before the real problem with government was located and removed. Just like a cancer, government has isolated the problem and with the skill of a surgeon, removed the problem. The sheep err . . . I mean the people can now sleep peacefully knowing it will never happen again. It seems the whole problem with government inefficiency can be traced back to one man by the name of Michael Brown; yes folks, he’s the one responsible for sure!  

It seems a mistake was made somewhere along the way and this evildoer was allowed to slip through the cracks of our great Dumbocracy, and he is the very one responsible for the tragedy that took place in New Orleans . Had it not been for this miscarriage of leadership, your government would have lived up to the service you have come to expect and depend on. As a slave err . . . I mean citizen on the welfare plantation, you deserve better service for working hard and paying your fair share of taxes.  

Dumbocracy is not always perfect, and even your freedumb loving masters err . . .  I mean servants can make a mistake now and then, but rest assured the problem is solved and all is well now. I hope you have not lost your faith in government or thought for even a moment that it could be government itself that went wrong? As it turns out, it was just one bad apple and the rest of the government is sound and ready to continue in providing you the best safety your usurped rights can buy.  

The state of the welfare state is sound, and with your continued coerced err . . . I mean voluntary contributions, we will continue to further the cause of Dumbocracy and freedumb so that not only your children, but also your children’s children and all future generations can enjoy the same freedumbs and rights you enjoyed for many generations to come in this great Dumbocracy of ours.  

Please remember, only government can provide these services for you. Who else but government could stop private enterprise from coming to the aid of your fellow Amerikkkans and force err . . . I mean escort people from their homes in such an efficient manner? Who but government using this tragedy as a guise to confiscate weapons from its citizens, do it in such a way as to sell it as something that is actually for their own good?  

We do hope you remember who your daddy was when the next selection err . . .  I mean election comes around and you line up once again to make your pilgrimage to the polls. As you stumble into the voting booths, try to remember that without us, you are helpless. Please, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
