Dumb and Dumber by Mike Wasdin Labels
can indeed be interesting and funny things. Since I have become
politically vocal over the last few years, I have been called many things.
Conservatives consider me to be a Liberal, and Liberals a Conservative.
Republicrats, not being able to conceive of anything outside their
sheepish little world of Republican/Democrat mantras, cannot imagine that
there may be other more rational and intelligent points of view. Recently
I had a friend who I had not spoken to in a while send me an e-mail after
reading my article Enemy
of the State. She was outraged, and wanted to know when I became a
Communist? Of course I could not imagine what she was talking about, I
thought maybe she meant “columnist” at first. She then said she was
referring to the bottom of my article where I said that I was a Communist
living in Phoenix, Arizona. After I stopped laughing, I realized that she
was just another confused sheep. Since she did not understand the term
“Anarcho-Capitalist,” she did what any brain-dead sheep would do, she
made up a definition.
My
ex-mother-in-law recently asked my son if “I was still going to those Neo-Nazi
rallies?” To the brain-dead, anything that is outside their
flag-waving little world must be anti-American, even an event known as
“The freedom As
with most sheep, they did not take the time to find out what the true
meaning was. They just figured that since they had never heard of these
things before, it must be something out of the ordinary and un-American.
Asking a sheep to study the true meaning of terms is too much to ask;
after all, the sheep have still not figured out the meaning behind phrases
such as Patriot Act and Homeland Security. To expect that it would be any
different for terms like Anarchy and Freedom Summit would be expecting too
much from the subliminally mind fucked! I
have been called many things over the years. As well as a Communist, I
have also been called neo-nazi, socialist, liberal, un-American and a
terrorist. The term terrorist is actually becoming a compliment. I would
imagine that the Founding Fathers were considered terrorists as well, so I
am in good company.
The sheep are herd oriented, and cannot think outside the box. Not being capable of perceptual or intellectual thought, they are only capable of thinking in terms of tribal relations. If you are not a Republican, then you must be a Democrat. The idea that there may be a different line of thought is foreign and confusing to them.
In fairness, I must admit that I also use labels when describing people. Some of my favorites are “sheep” and “brain dead.” Lately I have been thinking that the Republicans, Democrats and the electorate should change their names to Dumb and Dumber. Of course the method to determine which one would be Dumber is still undetermined. discuss this column in the forum Mike Wasdin is an Anarcho-Capitalist from Phoenix, Arizona. He also moderates an anti-government website on Yahoo. |
